This course covers areas that are fundamental to paramedical care. Students will be introduced to aspects of the paramedic profession including communication skills, patient assessment, stress management strategies, use of ambulance equipment and the importance of continued education and research. This course covers interprofessional practice, the continuum of patient care, and principles of ambulance operations on land and in air-based settings.
