The Justice Institute of British Columbia (JIBC) is one of 25 British Columbia post-secondary institutions participating in the Province’s StrongerBC future skills grant program. Announced on Tuesday, May 2, the three-year grant program provides B.C. learners with up to $3,500 in funding to pursue short-term skills upgrading.
Learners may apply for the grant to cover tuition, fees and materials for selected short programs that start in September-December 2023. The following Â黨¾«Æ·programs will be eligible:
Emergency Medical Responder – Statement of Completion
- Basics of Defending Against Cybercrime – Micro-Credential
- Essentials of investigating Cybercrime – Micro-Credential
- Malware Detection & Protection Basics – Micro-Credential
- Crisis Communications – Micro-Credential
- Trauma & Crisis Intervention – Associate Certificate
- Leadership & Conflict Resolution – Associate Certificate
Learners will apply for the grant directly from the post-secondary institution offering the program. Â黨¾«Æ·is finalizing changes to enrolment forms and processes for the eligible programs, and more information is available here.
